Hola ppl!
This post is going to be a lil hatke from all the previous ones. Less words and more tunes is the theme of this post. Before, I just break the ice and send chills down your spine, here goes a trailer on my 'fine arts' resume. I have been a trained 'Bharatanatyam' dancer for 12 years (from age 3 - 15) and a trained classical singer (Carnatic music) from the age of 5 till I came to US of A. Alright.. questions on 'how could I dance at the age of three', all kudos to my smart parents, they have pics in evidence of the same. My 1st dance performance was when I was 5 or 6 yrs I believe. See see... one child prodigy only I am you are thinking no? But my inner modest-self says "I'm the girl next door" !!!
With time, I became immensely passionate about music and I dedicate this post to the same. What kinda music I like? I love anything that is good to hear, no barriers on the language, genre and willing to experiment singing anything and everything. So, any kinda song suggestions or requests are more than welcome, as that solves half my trouble to choose which song to sing. How well I sing? - you are going to be the judge and I'm sure you are gonna be probably better than my singing. How did this entire musical journey begin, what achievements have been made so far is kinda huge, and we can have a talk about that too very soon, once you find this good enough! As I said, let the tunes do the talking this time.
This duet tamil song is titled 'Munbe Vaa en anbe vaa' from the movie - Sillunu Oru Kadhal. A very sweet, melodious track composed by the living legend - YES AR Rahman totally. This is probably one of his masterpieces, orginally sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Naresh Iyer. Attempting this song by itself is a huge challenge and that's what people good at something normally do. Check out this humble attempt on this song by me and Sendhil Kumar. Without the sound engineering techniques, editing, mixing and a fab display of 'music director' skills by Sendhil Kumar, this wouldn't have been possible.
To all non-tamil folks, I still hope this is a listening pleasure to you guyz. Shall surely come up soon with songs from various languages that you can relate to and criticize me better and for the good :)
Hope the actors have done a good job to our singing!
Cheers,
Janz!
