And what does THAT mean?

Very often we use or hear certain commonly used one-liners. Some of them are straight, some of them are sarcastic, a few others might make you feel like trash. One thing that all these have in common is diplomacy. Here are some very common one liners that we use and what they actually mean. You're more than welcome to add a few more on to the list!

'We need to talk'

That's bad news. You may want both your ears to go deaf instantly not wanting to hear the 'talk', thinking the worse. You're kinda screwed!

'I need some space'

The most common statement made by most of us today. Be it with parents, friends, @ work. This exists everywhere. Nothing wrong in asking for one, but the question is how much and how long. If that is put into place, there wouldn't be a need for this statement too!

You get hurt by your neighbor's kid and say 'Oh, kids are naughty. I'm absolutely fine'

I don't care about the rest of the kids, but your kid is a god sent devil. And if I was absolutely fine now, would trash your entire family into my plastic bag.

'Good for you'

Either they are happy for you or most likely sarcastic. Commonly used to end a never-ending argument. 

Person X: For me, Balakrishna is one of the coolest actors ever. He is my favvvvvv actor!
Person Y:  Ah... good for u :P

You get the meaning of THAT now? I'm sure u do. Good for you :P

'Wassup?'

Initially, I found it annoying,puzzling, didn't know what to reply and finally got used to it. Now, the standard answer 'Nothing much'even if I have something to say. Some of them also come up with stuff like this: 'Wassup buddy? The roof'. WOW! Didn't know that. Even more irritating is a shortcut to this 6 letter word. From wassup to ssup, 'sup.. ah come on.. what next? up? In my dictionary, I define this as 'ridiculous'.

'I wish I could help you, but I can't!'

The last part can either be a can't or 'I don't want to' based on how 'good' rapport you have with the other person. But, in a general it is a politically correct way of telling a big NO!
